Purple Ball of Hope

Eighteen months ago, Jan Lord from Guide Bridge MOT promised her mum that she would try to make a difference to the awareness of funding for pancreatic cancer.

Seven months ago, Jan had a dream and acted upon it. She decided to host an event, called ‘Purple Ball of Hope‘, which would be a formal ball held at The Village Hotel in Ashton Moss on the 12th of April 2014.

The event was an amazing success raising £6266 for pancreatic cancer, £1266 over the target of £5000! We would like to say congratulations to Jan and her team for putting on such a brilliant event for a wonderful cause.

AsOne’s Tracey and Joel attended the Purple Ball of Hope and said that they had a fantastic time, also stating that it was very well planned and everything looked and was brilliant.

Tracey added, “Joel and I have known Jan and her family at Guide Bridge MOT for a number of years, we were delighted to help and show our support by creating the website to promote the event and raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer UK.”

“I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of my friends, family, work colleagues, networking contacts, local businesses etc. the list just goes on and on and I THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH I couldn’t have done this without you…” – Jan Lord
