Use Google Remarketing to Capture Your Audience’s Attention Time and Time Again

Google Remarketing

Google Remarketing

Google Remarketing uses the AdWords platform and the Google Display Network to serve highly targeted ads to people who have already viewed pages on your website or in your app.

It is a really effective way of improving the ROI of your campaigns, by ensuring that you stay at the forefront of your audience’s minds even after they’ve left your site.

How does it work?

Remarketing is a highly effective method of re-engaging your website visitors, but it requires your content to be properly tagged, and your AdWords campaigns being appropriately synced to use these tags.

If this is not something you’re familiar with yourself, you can use a PPC agency like AsOne to manage it for you, start to finish.

The process works as follows:

  1. Pages on your website are tagged using a snippet of code supplied by Google
  2. Targeted adverts are created using Google AdWords, relevant to each of the tagged pages
  3. People who view these pages are automatically sent a cookie file, which allows Google to track them
  4. When these people navigate away from your site, they will see your targeted ads on other sites based on which tagged pages they have viewed. These pages can be strategically selected to ensure the right message is presented at the right time.

For instance, if you have a page on your site that is tagged as “cuddly toys”, you can create an ad that specifically relates to cuddly toys, and will only appear to people who have already viewed that page.

This is especially effective for products that have a slow sales cycle, where people are less likely to make an impulse purchase. They might have had a look at your service, and even though they liked it they decided they needed more time to think about it.

Remarketing enables you to send a subtle reminder of the product they were interested in to entice them back to your site.

Make Remarketing part of your online acquisition strategy

When used in conjunction with other marketing methods, such as social media, paid search, or SEO, remarketing is a really effective way to ensure that you capture your audience’s attention again and again.

As with any other digital marketing methods, access to data and analytics is really important. Google provides detailed reports outlining how many times your ads have been viewed and clicked, and we analyse this data to optimise your campaign and ensure you are getting the best results.

At AsOne we have expert knowledge of how these techniques can be used as part of a broader, integrated marketing campaign to help drive your business forward.
