We have all heard and probably used Google Plus at some point but do we know exactly what Google Plus is? Well lets find out!
What is Google Plus?
Google+ is a social networking site but with so much more to it than just being your typical social network. Google+ was launched in 2011 and has since been growing to be a network with hundreds of millions of active accounts.
Why is it beneficial?
Google+ is not designed like social networks such as Twitter and Facebook where the intention behind it is following someone’s life or to look at pictures of people you know etc. Google+ is designed to let you connect and build relationships with like-minded users who have the same passion as you. This is beneficial as it could open you up to whole new demographic of people who may of not shared these views or passions on Facebook or Twitter.
Getting started with Google Plus for a business
If you have got a Google+ account set up you can then move on to creating a Google business account too! When setting up Google business account we recommend making sure that you include all the following information:
- Contact information
- Website URL
- Introduction to your business
- Location of business
- Opening times
- Profile and cover image
- Add your product, brand or service that you offer
