Fake Skype Purchase Spam

This morning we received the email below informing us that our payment through Skype had been accepted.

Needless to say, we’ve never purchased anything through Skype and we don’t even have a Skype account.

The email tells us to open the attached file to view the details of the purchase. Upon opening the file (a html document) you will be taken to a website offering cheap medication, including the spammers favourite: viagra.

Here at NetSeraph we don’t need viagra, so it’s safe to assume that this is just another spam email that you shouldn’t open.

One of the easiest ways to work out if an email is spam is to check the spelling. Most spammers have terrible spelling. An example is below where the email tells us to open the “attached” file.
