The Digital Entrepreneur Awards are the only awards of their kind, recognising entrepreneurs from across the country who have achieved online business excellence.

Earlier this year, an unexpected mobile application took the world by storm, the highly addictive, simplistic phenomenon, Flappy Bird. Following the popular app being deleted from the app store, we seized the opportunity and created our own version – Splashy Bird, a recreation of the popular game with our spin on it. This proved to be a massive success with thousands of downloads and positive reviews, proving to be a fantastic alternative to the original which was discontinued. The app took you directly to our website when clicking on the AsOne logo, resulting in our website hits increasing by a substantial amount.
Following Flappy Bird’s success, we have been shortlisted for two awards as part of the Digital Entrepreneur Awards. In the E-services category – Best Use of Mobile and in the Design and Marketing category – Animation/Gaming Project of the Year.
After last years success at DEA, winning the Most Creative Use of Technology and being finalists of the Digital Business Of The Year category, we have our fingers crossed for optimum success this year. The event will take place at the Palace Hotel, Oxford Road in Manchester on 9th October at 7:00pm.
