On Saturday 20th June the girls here at AsOne literally got down and dirty in the Race for Life pretty muddy 5k run! The girls had to run 5k through wind, rain and mud completing 8 obstacle courses along the way! This included crawling in the mud, climbing over roped walls, all while people threw mud at them and shot them with water pistols as they ran past! All our women completed the race with smiles (muddy smiles that is!)
The girls have currently raised over £550 for the charity that is close to their hearts. We have all been affected by cancer at some point in our lives and these girls showed that they would not be defeated and raced for those they have loved and lost. To read the full story about why the girls wanted to complete the run take a look at their JustGiving page.
Tracey said “It was a great day doing the run, I enjoyed being able to push myself to run as much as I could and not give up and just walk. It was amazing to be part of such a fun day for such a great cause. It was inspiring to see different people of different capabilities all running for the same cause.”
Here at AsOne we like to show our support for charities as you and like to do our part to help and support those in need.
Thank you to everyone who supported the AsOne girls and donated money to a great cause.
